Kate is very fun, friendly and energetic. I've only had about four lessons with her, but I've learnt so much already. Kate has thought me a lot about breathing exercises, vocal warm ups and vocal belting techniques. When she teaches me warm ups that sound a bit silly (but are effective) she also demonstrates how to do those warm ups, which l really appreciate because it doesn't make me feel embarrassed to make those sounds. Overall I really enjoy having her as a teacher, I feel very comfortable around her.
Advanced Vocal Coaching
Cross-genre vocal coaching.
Kate first learned classical singing completing AMEB exams and competing in eisteddfods. However, Kate wanted access to a larger range of vocal sounds than classical singing could offer so she sought teachers in genres such as Pop, Rock and Musical Theatre singing spending many years further developing her voice.
This process inspired Kate to design a learning pathway for cross-genre singing. She has named this ‘the voice map’ (c).
Using ‘the voice map’ advanced vocal students can curate their own vocal style and explore greater expressions and power in their singing.
Lessons focus on:
-
Developing solid technique
-
Prazing and articulation
-
Tone and expression
-
Expanding vocal range
-
Performance skills and audience interaction
-
Playing and singing at the same time

Really enjoying my lessons with Kate. Kate breaks down songs and vocals really easily and helps me quickly understand what I need to do to hit those harder to reach notes. I'm constantly improving my vocals along with my confidence each week with Kate and she's helped me unlock a much wider range than I realised I had!
